Without squinting, I see you clearly,
my daughrter, K.K.'s mother, Ruth's sister,
pregnant, laughing, drinking soup in my kitchen ,
but squint a little, let the edges blur, and I see me
years ago, K.K. years from now, Ruth tomorrow,
you at thirteen, ninty four - folded generations.
