Bob asked me on our full moon walk tonight how the moon connected to spirit for me, and a piece fell in I've never quite seen before. Every hour of every night, from wherever I am, the moon looks different. What I see is never the same from moment to moment. My image of the moon depends on where I am and conditions around me. The moon, however, remains constant, regardless of how I see it, even whether I can see it at all. That is equally true, I believe, of the divine.

This is a beautiful thought to start my day, Victoria. I guess that's why I feel balanced by the moon and the sea so much, their constancy, even though seen differently. I love the last line very very much.

This is almost a prose poem, Victoria. Very moving.

I posted a comment earlier, Victoria, but it hasn't shown up, so this might be a duplicate. I wanted to tell you how I love your perspective in this poem. I feel a close connection to the moon and the sea too, and you just helped me see why, it's the constancy as well as the beauty. I especially like your last line.

What a marvelous insight Victoria. Yes those big things seem constant and are a comfort to us. I have never connected very strongly with the moon, though I know a number of women who have and it always seems so magical and spiritual. Wonderful that you were able to connect this to the Devine.

Profound, Victoria. I like the ideas of some things remaining constant, despite the differences in our own perspective at the time. The moon just IS. The divine just IS.
