Today was a good family day, including a ride with Liam and Ruth on a little train with a Halloween themed tunnel. It is newish, an engine named Sophie, not far from the house. We all enjoyed the short hill country ride in the open train on a mild bright fall afternoon. KK has all homework done so she won't have to think about it on Halloween. Bob is a little better each day with regard to his sinus infection. I wish it would be gone already.

The train sounds like a wonderful thing for your family to do together. Whenever my grands go to the zoo here, one of the things they ALWAYS want to do is the train. I wish there were MORE trains for kids to ride!
We have a zoo near us here that we always took the kids too. The first thing they thought of when they thought of the zoo was the train and we'd have to ride that first so they could concentrate on the ZOO part of the zoo. LOL It does sound like you had a peaceful day.
