The details make life holy. If you want a little happiness in life don’t forget to look at the little things. It is a poet’s work to see the incidental, pluck it, place an appropriate silence around both sides and see the profound in what passes for a passing moment. It is an artist’s job to as much discover art as create it. Prayer is a way of making the common profound by pausing, tying knots around a moment, turning our life into a string of pearls.

I like that you too are thinking about 'ordinary days.' I agree very much with the part of the quotation that says.....If you want a little happiness in life don't forget to look at the little things! PROFOUND really. Most often my life is made up of ordinary moments. I try hard to appreciate them, moment after moment, knowing that they are important in their own way...knowing I make a difference.
Sometimes I wish I could transport to a Darfur refugee camp, listen for any laughter, and then sit attentively at the feet of the laugh-er (whatever age) and ask them to teach me how to live as he/she has learned to live..
